Description

Hedstrom files are ground frome stainless wire and provide flattened edge with a non-cutting, safe-ended tip. Hedstrom Files are used for more rapid enlargement of root canals. The cutting edges are inclined backwards, making insertion easy since there is no cutting taking place on the insertion stroke. When the instrument is withdrawn, cutting takes place and debris is carried away from the apex.

The flute depth increases with the taper, creating a sharper, more flexible instrument.
