EDTA 17% Solution is buffered to a neutral pH and is an effective calcium binding or chelating agent used to facilitate instrumentation of root canals and for smear layer removal. It decalcifies the canal walls making it easier to enlarge and shape the canal with files and reamers.
FEATURES :
- Removes inorganic substances like dentinal chips & facilitates their easy removal by chelation of calcium ions.
- Effective in the removal of smear layer and unplugging of dentinal tubules-enhances adhesion of filling material like a sealer
KEY SPECIFICATIONS :
- Neutral pH: Gentle and tissue-friendly.
- Smear Layer Removal: Enhances cleanliness.
- Chelating Agent: Effectively binds calcium.
- Improved Bonding: Promotes better adhesion of sealers.
- Ease of Use: Smooth handling during application.
INDICATIONS :
- Surface preparation of canal.
- Smear layer removal.
- Unclogging of dentinal tubules.
DIRECTION TO USE :
- Isolate the tooth by using a choice of separation technique. Proceed with an access opening and identify the canals.
- Fill the syringe with Neoedta Liquid and attach a side-vented needle. Always check for snug-fitting to prevent any leakage.
- The needle should be kept loose, passive, and 2mm short of working length.
- Hold the syringe in the palm firmly and use the pressure of the palm for better control of the flow. Dispense the Neoedta Liquid into the canal.
- Always replenish with Neoedta Liquidin between subsequent endodontic files. Don’t keep it in the canal for more than 60 seconds.
- Once the canal cleaning is done, flush the Neoedta Liquid out of the canal with sodium hypochlorite and distilled water.
- Dry the canal and proceed with the choice of obturation technique.
STORAGE :
- Store in a cool and dry place.
